Welcome to the PVO! We’re glad you found us!

The PVO is a thriving organization of St. Nicholas Academy School. The Parent Volunteer Organization supports our students, teachers, staff & parents. If you have a child at St. Nicholas you are a member of the PVO! It doesn’t matter whether you can spare one hour after school, or a few hours at home at night or several hours during the school day, there is always a place for you in the PVO.

Primary functions of the PVO:

To provide a framework that enables parents to support and share in the intellectual and spiritual education of the children of St. Nicholas Academy. We promote understanding and cooperation between home and school by providing assistance to the Principal and teachers in any capacity needed. This will entail many volunteer activities, such as cafeteria and playground helpers, health and safety screenings, spirituality programs, and many more.

We strive to create an enjoyable environment for our children to learn, and feel safe and happy. Activities include Step by Step Stewardship Program, Annual St. Nicholas Gala, Panther Prowl Walk, Field Day, Mother/Son event, Father/Daughter Dance, Appreciation Breakfast for teachers and staff, just to name a few. We develop, support and sponsor programs and activities that enhance a quality Catholic education.

PVO Funds

Funds raised by the PVO shall be used to directly benefit the school. Each and every year, fundraising dollars will support the school, teachers and the students.

An added benefit of the PVO…it is FUN!! Over the years the PVO creates fun ways to get things done. Many new friendships have been formed while sharing PVO responsibilities.

PVO Meetings and activity reporting:

PVO meetings will be scheduled at various times during the school year. The meetings will be scheduled around informational material from speakers or programs that would be of interest to parents. A “Principal Forum” will be scheduled at various times throughout the year where discussion would be around school information and what is happening at St. Nicholas. There would be a question/answer session available for parents to voice and ask questions of concern. The date and times of these meetings will be published through the weekly newsletters and that will be utilized to communicate various projects and activities including news of what are happening throughout the year.

PVO Leadership comes from volunteers! We need you!

We encourage you to sign up for all the areas that sound interesting to you. Most areas are flexible and you can help out as your time allow. PVO is a great opportunity to get involved with your child’s school and share your talents and meet other parents.
